Hey there!
I am volunteering at the USAT Collegiate National Championships on Friday and am just wondering if anyone else here is doing the same or attending. It would be nice to meet some people face to face from the world of the interwebs

thanks for volunteering!

i may go out to spectate, but that's all.

any idea what the lake is going to be like? apparently there are thousands of dead carp due to a bacteria in the water? the lake is supposed to be smellier than normal.

hopefully it's just ktar drumming up a story rather than a real problem. i was thinking of doing the splash and dash on thursday night, but not if there are dead fish all over.

Well Friday was really fun and there was some great competition. They finished up today which was supposed to bring more of a crowd.
As far as the swim though, the water has never been super clean but I didn't see any dead fish floating around.

My question is how do I train for the second Ironman race and continue to improve without "peaking" way too early, becoming stagnant or any of the other training bad words?

Don’t forget this is an incredibly big year for sport with the Olympics back in Athens where the modern Olympics started, and especially triathlon to make its second appearance.
