Total Time = 1h 02m 48s
Overall Rank = 25/337
Age Group = 20-24
Age Group Rank = 3/5
Pre-race routine:

First time with the bike shoes so I had to attach those to the pedals when setting up the bike in transition.
Event warmup:

None -- mistake!
Swim
  • 03m 47s
  • 328 yards
  • 01m 09s / 100 yards
Comments:

As soon as I pushed off the first wall I felt the pockets on the back of my tri tank balloon out.
What would you do differently?:

Warmup!
Transition 1
  • 01m 9s
Comments:

I never put the bike shoes on...
What would you do differently?:

Put on the bike shoes!
Bike
  • 34m 31s
  • 12 miles
  • 20.86 mile/hr
Comments:

It was nice to be able to stay up for the most part. I really, really, REALLY need to spend more time on the bike. This was by far my weakest part of the race. Also, I never put my feet in the shoes, AT ALL!
What would you do differently?:

Train, train, TRAIN!
Transition 2
  • 00m 46s
Comments:

Took forever to get my socks on, that was ridiculous.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe skip the socks if I'm doing a sprint.
Run
  • 22m 35s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 07m 16s  min/mile
Comments:

I only dropped two spots overall on the run so I guess it was a lot better than I thought it was.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe work the fluids a little bit more.
Post race
Warm down:

Lots of walking around.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Probably a lack of training and sleep during the week prior to the race.

Event comments:

I love doing triathlons here; this is a great facility and a great group of people.
