I am heading up to Clermont, FL to ride this weekend does anyone have any good routes to ride to get some good hill work in. I do not know the area to well so some good loops would be great.

This is the Florida Challenge Course - 56 miles. If you want shorter you can search the Great Floridian Course maps - each loop is about 38 miles and includes lots of rollers. Sommer Sports has a website with archives of older courses as well, some with mapmyride links.

For more hills on the FL Challenge course, instead of following SR19 all the way onto CR448, turn left onto E. Dewey Robbins (about half mile beyond the CR 455 intersection). Follow this road for a nice series of rolling hills until you hit US 27, then double back to SR19 and head back to 448 as before.

Hope that helps!

Riding Zen means nothing more than being keenly aware of your surroundings and in control of your emotional state at all times. It also means riding safe and riding smart.

Already a cyclist and not a bad swimmer, I figured all I had to do was build up to running a few miles and I’d be ready to go. The challenge invigorated me, and I ran out to buy new running shoes.
