Thanks for posting.  I'm not sure what is more interesting... the article or the comments at the bottom.

A "study" involving one person.

One.

Sheesh.

While I do tend to believe orthotics are over prescribed but I have so many questions - how many miles has she been doing? First picture she is very tan, second very white - perhaps the change is because she was running 60 miles a week and now runs 6?

she got off the orthodics and went to the minimalist shoe all at once? maybe the orthodics were the problem, not the shoe.

was she doing a lot of jump roping or pogo sticking or high wire walking? you can't just post pics and say look what the difference in a shoe did

Yes, if you look at the title, it's a Case Study - by definition, involves one person. You're not supposed to draw any conclusion other than to review this person's experience and decide for yourself whether or not it warrants further investigation. He's planning an objective study - I would be interested to see that.

The article does describe the transition, first a transition from stabilizing running shoes (Asics motion control) with orthotics, gradually removing the orthotics. Then once running completely without the orthotics a gradual transition to minimalist shoes, New Balance Minimus. And he does describe maintaining the distance only increasing the part run without orthotics or in minimalist shoes.

This is not a study, no conclusions can be drawn from this, its simply a case study on someones experience.

Which is why the author titled it "Case Study", and it is interesting, although that's debatable I suppose. Not sure what all the fuss here is about when the OP simply is sharing an article. Each person can make what they want of the article I suppose?
