I saw this sticker on a car and couldn't figure it out. My guess is that I don't qualify.

I wouldn't qualify either.  I'm nether half lady, nor half dragon fly.

Is this Heaven? No, it's Iowa.

Don't female dragon flies eat their mates once the deed has been done?

I really don't think I should try to participate in this race.

Although imagine the creative names we could come up with for an only male race:

  1. Sausage Fest
  2. 1/2 Sausage Fest
  3. Poles - No Holes

too far?

I'm guessing they didn't hire a professional for their graphic design. Maybe the RD's young child did the artwork.

I was kind wondering whether a 1/2 13.1 is cooler than a 10Kish.

Probably.

One thing is for sure, race #3 would be full of holes of a different color.

No, this picture was taken in Vancouver Washington and so it includes rain drops on my windshield.

I tried my best to pass the truck to see what 1/2 a lady looks like but I isn't man enough to pass...

www.dragonflyrun.com, half marathon, 10k for women only. The race is in Vancouver. My guess is that you already knew that.

I did look up the race but even their website didn't give any expiation of the "1/2 Ladies 13.1" concept.

Sometimes life is more fun if we don't let the facts get in the way of a good debate.

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.
