Wowsers... A weekend of riding the slopes. I feel like a slacker since last week I didn't get after my SBR workouts. So today I pushed myself. 30 minute dog run, 40 minutes on a spin trainer and a brick "run" doing intervals on the stair master. 50 flights in 8 minutes...

I've logged 33 miles of riding in 3 days. Planning on going back up Thursday for another 4.5 hours.

Re: your head - it's up to you. If it's really cold (sub 30 degrees?) I typically wear a winter running hat made by Under Armour or North Face. Warmer than that I may wear a running hat (baseball cap variety). I find that I warm up really quick in harder efforts.

RE: your bike and mud. Mud is fine. You can gently wash off your bike when done - try not to spray it with force from the hose. Ensure you keep the drivetrain clean and lubricated. You lose a lot of force to the drivetrain if its dirty.

Joe, are you going to the Lehigh-Lafayette game this weekend?  Have fun and I will be following it from Guatemala

Mark Z, how are you doing with the crazy rains you are getting in the Gold Coast? Hope all is well

I went ice skating this Sunday with the family and was doing fine until I tried to get fancy going backwards and did a belly flop. It was really funny but unfortunately I think I cracked a rib during the fall

I'm kind of in the same boat as you Sam, I really haven't put ANY time in on the SBR front the last week and a half. I have changed my routine to taking the Cardio Strength Interval class at the Y on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings and its kicking my butt!! I literally did nothing on Tuesday and Thursday last week, I had to use those days to recover from sore muscles and just had no energy nor desire to get in a SBR workout. I am planning on staying in this new routine along with adding Yoga on Tuesday and Thursday nights starting tonight. I'm hoping that over the next month or so my body will adapt its new environment and I'll eventually work in more SBR workouts. I did manage to get in a few swim workouts this week and I'll add those to my Challenge total in a bit.

If you ride hard over the weekend how long does it take you to recover before you can get in a decent SBR workout?

Gabe, thanks for asking. Yes indeed, the storm in Brisbane was crazy, but here on the GC we just got some rain, not even heavy. It is super humid and above 30c, you don't feel like running.
Hey, stop showing off with this diving, we all know you can swim well!

Mine was doing the same thing Mitch. After about a week of having to deleting the double workouts my Garmin stopped posting to BT and STRAVA all together. I ran thru the disconnect and reconnect process and it seems to be working fine now.
