Master 2037   SouthSide of Chicago |  Subject: 2014 Fort2BaseI'm very excited and proud to announce that I was chosen to be part of the 2014 Fort2Base Ambassador team for the race this year! It is a great running event that offers 2 options. You can do either 3 Nautical Miles (3.45 miles) or 10 Nautical Miles (11.5 miles). The course is pretty flat and fast with the exception of the famed "Hero Hill" which is right about at mile 11. It's a monster of a hill, but worth every step of the climb with great support/motivation provided by the Sailors at Great Lakes. The start line is at Fort Sheridan and the finish is at Naval Station Great Lakes. Check out the race site at www.fort2base.com and message me for a 10% discount code. |

Well organized and very friendly and supporting of the "slower" runners like me! Beautiful scenery too! My goal is to run that ENTIRE hill! Maybe from training and racing my first tri this year it will be much easier!  |
