For a full - Lake Placid.
Half - Timberman

Both in calm, clear warm (but wetsuit legal) water.

Mont Tremblant. It's the only IM I have done but out of all of the triathlons I have done, this has by far been the best swim. Calm, clean and clear lake and the temp was about 70 degrees. I loved it. Saw some fishes during my practice swim a few days before the race.

IM Cozumel.  At least it was in 2010 when I did it but I think they changed it just a bit.  I saw schools of fish, scuba divers, and underwater statues.

So tell me why I want to bother swimming the other strokes? I'm IM training, and plan to swim freestyle for the entire race, is there an advantage to working on the other strokes?

Byrn won’t hold your hand through the long hours and miles required finishing or for success in an IM, he can only show you how to get there. The work is up to you.
