WooHoo, Team SKY!!!!!!!

I have one today and a long one on Saturday planned. We'll be catching up in no time! Keep logging those rides.

ETA: I'll be adding all of team Sky to my friends list. You *may* get an occasional inspire from me. Keep up the hard work!

I'm thinking about going out and finding some cobbles today. Maybe it will rain if I'm lucky. What a brutal stage!

After that stage I'm thinking about working hard the rest of my life to AVOID cobbles, holy cow. I must admit, I do love watching the cobble sectors though. Hoping to get in a ride tonight over 30 miles. It's is supposed to rain, but I told my training partner that unless it's thundering you will find me on my bike at 5:30 tonight.

I was derailed by work, life and weather last night, so today is makeup day. Then a group ride tomorrow. I hope the rain holds out this afternoon.

Crazy, right? I don't mind running on wet cobbles (so much) but on a skittery superbike? AAAAAAH

It's so good to see you again! You me and Casie are leading the Sky/Europcar charge ... love me some Sky piglets and I'd just love to drown Tommy Voeckler in a huge melon press.

And you too

Daawwww... You're making me blush. Ha! I can't believe you remember me, or maybe you don't.

And, of course... it was thundering at 5:30 last night, and popping lightening like made, so no ride for me. But I AM riding tonight, I promise. I'm already starting to shake a little from the withdrawals.

Little itty bitty Stage 3 - impromptu 21 min. ride to and from LBS.  Rewarded myself with a fancy artisanal chocolate bar purchased at said LBS.

Been out of touch and contact. More prologues than real stages. They finished stage 8 today 38% of the tour done. Are you on pace? In a breakaway or back in the grupetto?

Got a good ride in today (35 miles) otherwise my last couple of stages has been my "cumulative commute" for the week and 40 minutes "escaping" for some private time from 23 kids age 5-12 at Explorer camp out at chatfield (the water looked so peaceful at 8:30 at night)

Back finally felt good enough to let me get out for a ride.

Stage 2 - 13 miles (I don't know what is up with my computer but it won't even let me get to Sky's page to log. Can a fellow team member at today's stage for me)

If all is still good with my back tomorrow I will get in Stage 3 before leaving Monday for a 4 night vacation.

Finally got a couple in yesterday, the rain has been a challenge, although I should take a note from the TdF and just ride in it. The weather has been yuck for them this year.

Stage 3 - 17 miles

I'd almost take the rain here instead of the 96+ temp and 100% humidity that Texas has to offer up on a daily bases.

fab to be on such a cool team - tommy voeckler is my hero and am sooo proud of richie porte.

Stage 4/7 done.  1:03:31, 17.77 mi.  Longest ride yet this year and it went great, although my body isn't exactly thrilled with me at the moment.  Can't believe I'm already more than halfway to my goal!  Might just have to increase it.

Every time we get rain around here, we get lightening too.  Two people have been killed by lightening in the past couple days so I think I'll stay inside when it does that, thank you.  All the Tour rain riding looks miserable, more like Classics weather than the usual hot, hot, and hot.  Not sure which is worse, frankly.

Tee Hee.. that makes me feel special. I still keep up with you via your blog, you have quite a crazy life and congrats on the marriage.

Out of town all weekend for a mountain bike race so couldn't upload any workouts, but I'm back at work today and have fun weekend hangover so I'm finally updating. 22 mile road ride on Friday night, 5.5 mile mountain bike ride Saturday pre riding one lap of the race course, then an 11 mile oh-my-gosh-hard mountain bike race Sunday. I came in second, beat the girl I was wanting to beat and the winner completely checked out a quarter mile in and won by 3 minutes. I didn't hit any trees or pass out, so I accomplished my goals for the day. Keep going everyone!

Completed two stages over the weekend.

The first one was the bike leg for a sprint triathlon (17 miles).  I felt like I had a rough swim, despite being 10 seconds faster than my time last year.  I was about .5MPH faster on the bike, and my run was the same.  I did win my age group, which is always nice.

The second ride was a recovery ride from the next day.  I took my walmart cruiser out, which was hilarious with all the race bikes I rode with

21.3 miles for that ride.  Nice weekend of riding.

"Fandom" in triathlon compared to other sports. If you're a sports fan and simply love to follow sport, why pick a sport that may offer a view of the start, the finish and a few moments in between?

The boat was being tossed around. Someone noted that there were whitecaps on the waves. Another guy said, “This is going to be challenging.” I began to wonder what he meant by 'challenging'.

Don’t forget this is an incredibly big year for sport with the Olympics back in Athens where the modern Olympics started, and especially triathlon to make its second appearance.
