Subject: Removing Stubborn Bike Pedals
You Guys,

I'm new to bikes. Currently I'm trying to replace my stock toe cages with clip-less pedals. However, I can't get the damn toe cages off. I've done it all. Hell I've gone so far as to stand on the wrench to try and get it to budge. I really don't want to take it to a bike shop because they'll charge me more than I want to pay. (There's also this thing called pride...) Does anyone have advice or some unusual tactics to outsmarting these toe cages?

get a piece of pvc pipe, about a foot or so long, and with enough room to put your allen wrench or pedal wrench, whichever you are using, into the end. This will give you considerably more leverage. Also, you can always try something like PB Blaster, but be careful because some of those substances can harm the different types of metal used.

I started riding this spring with the Carnac shoes on Look pedals (with plenty of float). About five minutes into a ride I get sharp pain on the outer edge of my feet, just behind the pedal.
