Hello all!

I'm trying to decide on which IM to do for 2015 and I'm thinking of Texas since registration is still open.

I've heard it's hot, but I live in Florida, so I don't think that will be an issue.

What can you all tell me about the race?

Thanks!

I really enjoyed IMTX. The swim is kinda fun because you finish by swimming down a canal and the crowd is only feet away from you and you can hear them cheering and what not. The only bummer is that it's about a mile walk to the swim start before the race.

The bike is not overly challenging in the hill department but there is some rough asphalt that can tire you out a bit and the wind coming back to town can be a challenge but overall pretty nice.

The run is great. 3 loops but you're always around people which is nice. It's quite flat so that's really nice too.

As you mentioned, it can be really hot but if you're from Florida you should be able to handle it.

Hope this helps!

During the race there will be plenty of opportunities to exchange bottles, so I'm thinking about going with the aero bottle and Gatorade bottle and fill up as necessary. What should I do?

If a heart patient can do these things, then so can those of you who haven't been split open like a fish and sewn back together.
