Trying on your first tri suit! How do you know if its to tight? I got the Louis Garneau Pro Triathlon Suit in medium. I also got the shorts and top in medium and those seem fine. When I zip up the suit though it pulls down in the neck so its not longer round, but more of a v neck.

Oh yeah, that sizing! I wear a medium in bike shorts, but XL in tri shorts. That really isn't the best thing for the ego. Last night I was talking to someone from my tri club who was wearing a tri suit for the first time, and he was complaining that he couldn't breathe.

Most important thing is being able to move your shoulders freely and being able to breathe freely. Other than that tri suits look terrible on everybody.

When I received my first team tri top, i decided I should try it out running first.  After about 50 feet, the top had riding up and looked like a tube top - not a great look.  It took several tries to find the right fit.

Trying on your trisuit for the first time is not the most humbling....it's seeing yourself in the race photos afterwards.

Cover the tag with a ziplock bag, then rinse off in the shower wearing the suit. You will notice that it gets a lot more roomy once wet.

Many people assume their suit is too tight and size up way too much. Tri suits should be tight enough that they don't have wrinkles when wet.

I'm going to let you in on how to get faster by doing nothing. Well, not exactly nothing, but you won't have to raise your heart rate, put out 300 watts, or really even break a sweat.
