Subject: Trng ride from Marion to Mt. Mitchell summit
I'm riding Six Gap on 9/28 and still have a LOT of cimbing to do.

A great climb is up the last part of Hwy. 80 to BR Pkway, then onto 128 to the top of Mt. Mitchell. Crazy views and crazy speed coming back down. If anyone is interested in riding to the top from Marion, or even from 80 , let me know.

Fun ride but approx. 6-7,000 ft. of climbing in only 25 miles.

Just curious, but do you have a route that takes you back to Marion other than via Route 80? I've been thinking about doing this training ride and I'd like to get back on the parkway heading the other direction and circle back to Marion. Obviously this makes for a longer ride.

Hi Patrick. I don't. I know this buses coming down from the summit on the day of the Assaults go a different way, without coming down 80.

Bombing down 80 is fun, but I know you want more miles.

Are you still riding the Uptown ride on Monday nights ? I believe you did before.
