My training at the moment consists of mainly 5-7 km runs with some strength training I do about an hour at the moment on the turbo trainer and I am learning how to get to used to using clip-less pedals. the hardest part for me is my swimming then my cycling.I have not done any open water swims yet only pool work and it has been a long time since I swam any distance I am not following any set program just making it up as I go along. How is your training going?

Hi. I'm not at ur level of fitness yet lets say that I'm built more for comfort than speed. I'm trying to cycle 20km 5 times a week ( 30km last night ). I've not really swam 'proper' for over 20yrs however I struggled my way to 1000m mainly breast stroke the other day. As for running anything over 3km at present is a lung busting mission! My goal is to participate in the sport as I'm under no illusions. I hope to do a Sprint/novice tri soon then an Olympic distance next yr. .... The huish/langport tri is on 21st September. ... are you having a go?

I had read the articles on BT, I'd trained, and I thought I had prepared. There were, however, a few things that I didn't internalize despite what I'd been told.
