I saw there was already a discussion about this race last year...

it's the last event from South Carolina Triathlon Series.

1k swim, 21miles bike, 7k run. Seems like half way between Sprint and Olympic distance.

Anyone going there?

I'm disappointed they scheduled it the same weekend as Rev3 Anderson again...

that's intentional, I assure you.

I'm doing the Bourbon Relay in TN that weekend or I'd probably be doing the Dam Tri.  I did it last year and it was awesome; had the best post race atmosphere than any of the other races, but I think that's because this was the last race of the year for everyone.

I think the series had another sprint in HH to end the year but I am too lazy to go back and check. The race is a nice short course distance and the bonus points are great if you are at the cusp of placing in your age group in the series. If I was in good enough shape to race a half I would do REV3 but at the moment this race looks like my best option.

they keep calling it a 7k which is 4.34 miles but the run course is 3.9-4 miles.

I will be doing it again this year. Very good race.

They do a lot of rounding when it comes to measuring tri-courses. My wife still brags about her sub 20 min 5k run although it was only 2.6 miles.

Hey now I totally ran that 7k last year at ~5:20 pace, at least that is what my total time and the race distance comes out to.

In reality I never saw a single mile split under 6 minutes

That would explain why you looked so crappy on that last 1/2 mile or so on the run

I'm curious about the 'don't increase your run by more than 10% per week' rule. Is there a minimum mileage under which this doesn't apply?

How should I go about training for the marathon while also building base in the other two events? Doing this seems like it's causing me to break the 10% rule in running.

Yes, the Dual is a little heavier than Cervèlo’s high end counterparts. But…the price is within reach of the masses and it still incorporates all of the design features that make a Cervèlo special.

We did really well with the beers, which will explain my reluctance to get out of bed on Saturday morning.
