I have worn Hoka Bondi 2's for all of my runs for the last 4 months. The only exception are the few treadmill runs I have done (just find Hokas too clunky on the treadmill). A whole bunch of people here swear that hokas really should be mixed in with more conventional running shoes, but I'm wondering who here runs exclusively in hokas?

I love my Holy One One. I wear them for most of my runs. Why do your friends feel like one shouldn't?

Why?  I never understand that line of thinking.  Newtons, Hokas and Altras are about the only shoes you ever hear this garbage about.  If a shoe works for you, it works for you.

I have run exclusively in my Hokas since the beginning of 2013.

I don't have a pair of Hoka's yet but I never run in one pair of shoes for every run. I usually have 5-6 pairs in rotation plus racing shoes. Of course I think this is basically just so I have a constant excuse to buy a new pair running shoes.

IMO, what running shoe you should wear really depends on what works for you. If you like the Hokas, and you don't feel pain or discomfort from them by running in them everyday, then I'd say that's the right shoe to wear. I like the idea behind the Hokas, I just can't deal with the minimal drop (something that's very trendy these days). Everyone is going to have a different idea of what's right based on what works for them.

I've been running in the Stinsons since mid June. The only time I don't wear them is for races or speed work.

My ONLY complaint about the Hokas - and I complained about this to the Hoka rep at a running expo I was at last spring. He understood my complaint but was unsure this was something they could remedy and maintain the "rocker" configuration.

pretty much exclusive in Hoka's (Bondi 3's) for this upcoming IM.

I really like how my feet feel decent after a 20 mile run...
I am also impressed with my Stinson's on trail runs. I used to find them clunky but not so much now.

I do feel faster in less cushioned shoes (Saucony Mirage for example) but don't think a 20mile run would feel very good in those.

I've been using Superfeet Orange in my Bondi 3's...works pretty well and changes the drop a bit. a little squeaky but I've run a bunch of miles like this and it works!

I do think that minimal / zero drop has contributed to / aggravated PF issues. although my particular PF problem was due to trail running at night and tearing it on slippery roots....

The one-arm drill. This drill will help you with body rotation, breathing, and pull. It also isolates one arm so you can really concentrate on what that arm is doing through the whole stroke cycle.
