Nice run, volunteers we terrific, police, military, were great. Great crowd/support. I've never been at a venue where the volunteers were so genuinely excited and supportive.
What would you do differently?:

did a 2:1 Galloway- it was all I had in me

Had to walk 1 plus miles to get bike/ wet suit

Event comments:

This is a very well run race considering the logistics of not being able to have a central transition area. The volunteers and support people were great! That being said, Augusta is not what I expected. It was a bit run down, a lot of run down houses and empty buildings. All things considered, I thought it was organized well. I would definitely recommend Augusta, especially for someone who is not a great swimmer.

Some mistakes I made during the Hawaii Ironman 70.3. Don't be caught out on the course not knowing how or not having the equipment to change a flat tire.

It was the morning of Ironman Newfoundland 70.3, I felt queasy. I didn't want to eat or drink anything. I had a full blown case of the pre-race HEEBEE GEEBEES.
