Just getting back into the sport and picked up a new bike today. I saw online that there are some good rides in pueblo, but I'm looking for something closer to home. I'm at Fort Carson, south springs basically, and I'd love to hear some good rides from anyone in the area.

There are a few nice rides on the south side.
Fountain Loop. Starts at the courthouse in downtown Fountain on Ohio. Go east to Link Rd, north to Squirrel Creek Rd, east to Peyton Hwy, south to Hanover Rd, west to Old Pueblo Rd, north back to the start. About 40 miles.

Same start. Go south on Old Pueblo Rd, bear right at the Hanover Rd intersection, ride out to PPIR, south along the frontage rd until the pavement ends, return. About 25 miles.

Ride Hwy 115 south to US 50 to Canon City and return. About 80-90 miles. Or just out and back along Hwy 115 going as far as you want.

Bradley Rd to Curtis Rd to Hwy 94 out to Schriever AFB and back is 30-40 miles depending on where you start.

All are easily accessible from the Fort Carson area and you'll likely see others biking these routes.
