My new Blue came in a couple weeks back & I finally got a chance to go in & get all set up on it. This is my first road bike I have ever owned after doing last season on a 20 year old Cannondale MTB. I researched extensively (maybe too much) before deciding on the Blue Triad EX Di2 because it gave me the most bang for my buck & it will last me a long time before I get the itch to upgrade.

A few surprises were in store when I picked the bike up. The brake levers listed on the Blue site are Ultegra levers with the Di2 buttons. As you can see, it actually came with Dura-Ace levers. Also, the cassette is listed on their site as a 105 cassette, but it came with the Ultegra cassette. Probably the only component on the bike that I would eventually upgrade is the crank, but that's down the road when I make a decision on adding power. Wheels will be an upgrade too, but I will do that closer to the start of next season.

Here is a link to a full album of pictures I finally got a chance to take today. If anyone wants to see anything specific on the bike that you can't see in the pictures, let me know & I will take some more close up or macro shots.

That ride looks sweet. You pics make it look much better than the pics on their site!

Yeah, their site pics suck. You miss out on a lot of the awesome detail. It really is a top rate bike. And to your concern about the aerobars, they are about as adjustable as they come. The Triad SL is the one that has fully integrated bars that are less adjustable.

I was expecting a road bike, but man, that is one gorgeous Tri / TT bike! That bike looks fast just sitting there. Really nice job with the pics too. Enjoy that sweet ride!

Enjoy your Blue! I have a 2010 Triad SL with the first generation Di2. It's been a great bike for its' first 18000 miles.

The cages are a really nice match. Nice bike. But I would go a different direction with the color of the bar tape when the stock stuff needs replacing.

Yeah, I misspoke. Meant to say tri bike. But it is my first non MTB or BMX bike that I have ever owned, so I'm pretty stoked!

Agreed. I'd go with an all black tape, or possibly a black tape with a slight red trim (inverse of what is on there now), but that's a minor detail that is easily changed.
