I got some rollers to help me get more stable on the bike.

So far I have not gotten the hang of it. My front wheel keeps just drifting off. Any advice? Any resources that helped you get better on rollers?

I am unusually unstable on the bike. I am hoping the rollers help, but my fear is I am too unstable to even get the rollers working in the first place. Classic Catch 22.

I will keep at it until I get it...

Stop looking at your front wheel.

Great video and great article.

I have been riding using one hand to hold a support next to me; that page makes me realize it may be like that for a while: just do 10 seconds at a time without using a support....That will be my first goal

Oh....I didn't guess....I smashed my face into the wall 3 or 4 times before I figured it out.

Stay in the door frame and hold on.

If you can ride a bike you should be able to ride the rollers.

The faster you're going the more the bike wants to stay up right. Easier to stay up right at 15mph than 10mph

That was my trick as well... the doorway is your friend for the first few go-arounds.  If nothing else, knowing that you have that "safety" there you relax more and start to realize that you can ride the rollers

My door frame has finger print marks dug into it when I started on my rollers. Look at the wall across the room and find a point to watch.

Relax. Yeah, I know but that is what actually helps.

Just had my first "crash" on the rollers. It really wasn't very bad. Just fell sideways and was able to unclip in time to catch myself. Nothing, and I mean nothing, like crashing when actually riding with forward momentum.

It wasn't very bad....except maybe next time I should wear a cup.

I am presently able to ride about 30 seconds to a minute straight *while holding the doorframe*, before I have to regroup because I feel I am veering off the rollers.

I put L-brackets with rollerblade wheels on my front roller to keep my front wheel from slipping off. I need to modify it to make it a little more effective, as it is extremely noisy when I hit the wheel and frankly scares the crap out of me causing me to overcorrect and eventually crash anyway. Will go take a photo later if anyone wants as an idea to run with. Not an original idea, found it a few years ago from someone way smarter than me.
