Naturalist Greg Munson says that many dragonflies are great acrobats. They are the "Cirque du Soleil" performers of the animal kingdom. Not only do they eat in mid-air, they also have sex. While flying, two dragonflies will hook up and bend into a roughly circular formation to accommodate the idiosyncrasies of their reproductive organs, thereby forming a "mating pinwheel." I don't expect you to achieve quite that level of virtuosity in your own amorous escapades, Leo. But if you're adventurous, you could very well enjoy experiences that resemble having sex while flying.

Well, thanks for that. I now know mine.

And I read the site as freewillyastrology.com. hmmmm....

I'm glad I'm not the only one!!!

So would this be considered pizza with the works?

I'm here, just really busy at work.  That dog is hilarious!!  However, winter made a very strong showing last week, so much so that I had to wear my knee-length down coat that looks like a sleeping bag.  Luckily this week is in the 40's and 50's so the snow is melting off.

How's J recovering?  And more importantly, how are you and the kids doing with having him around more?

30's?  In FL?  That's rough, especially with the humidity and houses not built for that cold!!

With wind chill. Have seen actual temps at 32 while there before. Snowflake sighting too. Don't invite me to Florida.

I've had to scrape the car in the AM, but that was way back in my High School days.  It's not often, but when you only wear flip flops it can seem brutal.

J is recovering quite nicely. He actually had to go into work late Monday afternoon, so not much time off. Said he felt like a little run last night, but plan said another day completely off.  As for the kids and I....we're adjusting. He's helping get them to bed earlier which is nice. lol

We went to KS for Christmas last year. J's mom put a window scraper mitten in my stocking. I was quite puzzled at first...still am, actually. I have yet to use it. lol

Agreed - BOOO to stoopid cold weather.  My car read 16* when I left for the pool this am and the radio reported a 'real feel' in the single digits.  Fun.  NOT.  It was up to a whopping 19* when I left swimming and it's a balmy 29* now.  Grumble grumble, stoopid sunset is at 4:45, doesn't rise until almost 7, grumble grumble.  I know, I know, FWP.  I greatly dislike the short days of late autumn/winter.

DH told me the dogs got out of bed, went out to do their business, climbed under their couch blankets.  A little later, he called them to eat.  They ate, then immediately went back to their couch blankets!  Admittedly we don't keep the house too warm, only 68* downstairs and colder upstairs, but they really love their blankets, Dobie especially.  She'll be covered up in the summertime.  Silly dog.

Yep 3 dog shows this weekend, 2 on Saturday and 1 Sunday. Our girls did ok. They were the only two in their bred though as we are the only ones who show here.

Even if you were the only one representing your breed, it's great experience for the girls.  And at least they won.  Would have been bad if they hadn't!

I don't recall if I said so in here or just in my training log...

I have a pair of size 8.5 Brooks Pure Flows with only 3 miles on them. Free to a good home. If nobody here responds I'll list them in the pay it forward section.

I realize it's not a whole forest, but, dangit, it's funny.

We've got the sitter for Saturday morning. I'm going to ride/hike come hell or high water (hopefully neither happens, but better hell followed by high water to put out the fires).

I've also just spent an hour looking at my dream house/property...that isn't in AZ :/

Find a mentor. Make a list of at least three people that you could approach for help, list your specific needs and then be courageous enough to begin asking.
