Subject: new running shoes shelf life
I know this has been discussed a bunch but several searches got zero, so I'll ask it. If I'm buying ASICS Gel Cumulus 15 shoes that are new in box, is there a concern the shoes may have already started aging enough to not buy them ? I think I'm fine since they're 1-1.5 years old.

What say you ?

Shoes will break down in the box, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. It's not like they will fall apart of change enough that it will make them useless...

I got a new pair of the same size / brand of shoes and started running on them. On my left foot, the toe next to the big toe starts to get a little painful and goes numb after the first 1-3 miles.
