Been watching myself much better this week. Mid-week puts me at 245.5. I just stared at it for a couple of minutes before it sank in. Then I double-checked it. Wonder if I can keep the downward trend going until the end of the week...

You can!  Stay strong and make good choices.  It's all worth it when you see those numbers on the scale.  Good job.

Hi Winter Weight Losers,

I've been watching your thread and have been losing along with you since February.  I am doing well.  I try to just follow the same pattern of eating and exercise every day.  I shoot for 1500-1700 calories per day of consumption and 2100-2300 calories of exertion.  It apparently is working.  But I have the advantage of having lost these pounds before.  It is deja poids.  My rate of loss is 1-1.5 lb/wk.  Faster than other years but I have more to lose this year.  I am trying to get down to about 153.  I am halfway there, more or less.

I finally figured out how to save a picture from Excel and then get it uploaded.   That is the why I chose to post this.   Things have changed a bit here.

Welcome to the group, nice work on your weightloss so far.

So my weigh in will be delayed!  My scale is broken, and I havent gone to the gym all this week.  It's been so nice outside and have gotten all my runs outside!
I even took my bike out for the first time yesterday.  I am thrilled about that, March in Wisconsin I was not expecting it.  Especially after the second half of this winter.

I ordered the Aria scale from Fitbit.  Curious to see how the body fat % works.  There is a chance it will be here Friday!  I'm excited to try it out.  I really like my Fitbit Charge HR.  I compared it to a chest strap HR monitor and it was pretty darn close for workouts.

Sometimes life throws you curveballs, although this time it's been on the reporting front.

So, 11 days into the Whole 30... I've "cheated" by getting on the scale, because you aren't supposed to weigh yourself for the full 30 days. Don't care, I want to KNOW.

2015/01/21 - 141.5
2015/01/28 - 143.0
2015/02/04 - 144.5
2015/02/11 - 143.0
2015/02/19 - 141.1
2015/02/26 - 142.5
2015/03/04 - 143.1 (there was a trip home in there...) 3 days into Whole 30
2015/03/11 - 138.9

I was shocked to say the least. After the initial few days of unpleasantness getting all the sugar out of my system (and giving up diet drinks...), Whole 30 has been surprisingly easy; by Day 8 even my energy levels for longer runs had returned. But to be below 140 for the first time in years?? Yes please!
I'm not going to say it's a magical cure, but I'll follow the full 30 days, and even the 12 day reintroduction protocol for the eliminated foods. I don't think I have food sensitivities, but it won't hurt to find out. I will say, I am eating WAY more vegetables than normal, which is only a good thing.

18-Jan: 260.0 (+2.5). Getting up to speed with training again. Also, nothing (unfortunately) was wrong with my scale.
25-Jan: 260.0 (+2.5). No change. Starting MyFitnessPal today. Logging food was such a PITA before, but I need to do this.
1-Feb: 257.5 (+0). Back to my starting point. but up 1.5 from midweek... Need to be stronger on my weekends (Fri+Sat)
8-Feb: 254.0 (-3.5). I have no idea how I'm dropping this much... Yesterday morning I was down to 253.0 (250.0 after my ride ).
15-Feb: 251.0 (-6.5) Okay... this is getting scary. I'm already 1lb past my goal with 6 weeks to go. I'm not starving myself, and eat stupid things... Maybe I've found the balance that works for now.
22-Feb: 249.5 (-8.0) Still moving in the right direction. Paying attention to what I'm shoveling down is really paying off! And I know I can eat better.
1-Mar: 248.0 (-9.5). Fought hard for this week. Surprised I had a loss at all.
8-Mar: 247.0 (-10.5). Still on the downward trend (yay!!). I could have done better with my diet this week. This lack of focus could bite me later on as I get closer to my goal weight.
15-Mar: 250.0 (-7.5). Total breakdown the last half of this week.

Mid-week puts me back down to 247.5. Even a gallon bag of peanut M&Ms couldn't derail me on Monday.

Curious to see how this BF holds up.  I am going to go to the gym where I work out and get their BF test.  I got the fitbit scale.  So far I like it.  I have been logging my weight a lot.  It's amazing how much it can actually fluctuate.  What I like though is when my weight goes up, the body fat % goes down.  This to me indicates that it is measuring somewhat accurately.  Most of the higher weights are artificially higher - Consumed a large meal, water weight etc...

Anyways it's a neat little toy.

You've done so well during this challenge!

Way to go!

My end point for this challenge has me experiencing more success than I have in a long time. While I didn't quite reach my original goal of 135, my ending weight is 138.5 - a number I haven't seen in a few years. I've been below 140 for the last 10 days, and for the last week, have fluctuated between 138.5 and 138.9. That works for me.

So I'm calling this challenge a success!

Happy first day of spring everyone, and happy training!

Hey,

I am still working on my weight loss.  There are some bumps up and down but I am still on a steady downward slope.  I bumped up this morning because I did not exercise yesterday.  My daughter and granddaughter are in town.  Four month olds are soooooo cute and it was raining yesterday.

I will get out for a run in a few minutes.  I think my calories in versus out are still in negative territory.  I must just be part camel.  On rest days, I tank up on water.

I want to lose another 5 pounds by the middle of April then flatten out.

Mid week puts me at 249.5 again. I still have at least 2 swims, 2 runs and 3 bikes (hopefully 1 outside) to go... As long as I can keep my nose clean, I should be golden!

I came in really low yesterday morning at 154 lb.  That was probably from mowing the grass and then riding my bike without taking in enough water the day before.  I am still below the trend line today at 154.8.

I am doing well with consistency.  Based on the measured endpoints, I am down 13.4 lb.  That is pretty good.  Today is my birthday so I may be off the wagon for a day.
