Like the title says, what app do you guys recommend to build sessions and then have them play visual/audio cue's to step between easy-hard etc.

I got a plan from TTC.com and it is uploaded to training peaks, but I want to take the sessions to my man cave or out for a run, in my phone.

Definitely Trainer Road for the bike. Use the pre-canned training plans, or build your own workouts and plans. They can also synch up with Sufferfest and other 3rd party workouts. Workout effort is based on either power, for those that have a power meter, or "Virtual Power" for those that just have a speed sensor. I run mine through a PC, but they also just went live with their iOS software.

If you have a 910 (I'm sure other Garmin models can do this too, I just know it works for sure on the 910) you can create the workout either on the watch, or from several programs like SportTracks. That workout can also have notes that pop on-screen to remind you what to do. For example if an interval is at marathon pace you can add that note vs an interval at threshold etc. I found this was plenty detail for run and bike work outs.

For swim, I just used the paper and a plastic baggie app...

I generally just remember them.  Anything I get from my coach is likely to be a pattern of some sort.  5 x 5:00 at X watts with 2:00 recovery at Y watts.  Although I've been known to fail at counting and do too few or too many.

For treadmill runs-

if you want an iPhone app, iSmoothRun is good for this. You could use it for the bike too, actually.

But like others, I generally just remember them or write them out if I need to. Occasionally I'll program my garmin, but not often.

I have a HIIT timer app on my phone. It's a little cumbersome to set it up if the workout is complicated. I use it for treadmill speed workouts, and sometimes for bike workouts. I have  hard time paying attention to the clock... this app just beeps a few times before a change in interval, and the screen is green on hard intervals, red on recovery.

Great replies folks!

I will try trainer road and HIIT, for my workout this am I put it into Endomondo and did the run outside. I Ike that it talks to me for the shifts in pace, I'm not often a music runner, but I usually run with 1 ear bud in so I could take/make a critical call, the audio cue on Endomondo is great, just a pity I can't switch off the GPS for in doors.
Last year I tracked my runs with Endomondo, this year is back to Tri training so doing back to garmin

There's a free beta program for the bike trainer out.  See this thread.  The program has audible clues when the next interval to begin, etc.

I just got Perf-Pro for biking (see DC Rainmaker) about 2 weeks ago. It doesn't have as many training plans like TR but it has a nice editor to make my own and a one time fee vs trainer road continuous fee. It's pretty nice and a friend and I use it to host bike sessions since we can have multiple people on the screen at once with only 1 ant stick. Works with Netflix but I can't figure out how to make it full screen + show stats. Probably just user error....I need to play with it more.
