Subject: Hello from Georgia!
Hi, last summer I completed two sprint triathlons and loved them both. Including the training. I would love to do an Olympic distance tri this coming season. I am trying to decide if I should jump right into it and make my first race an Oly, or ease into the season with a sprint and then do an Oly-distance later in the year. Any suggestions would be great appreciated.

Welcome to BT!

If you are comfortable with your ability to complete (or compete, depending on your goals) in the OLY then go ahead and give it a try. If there is a nearby sprint you can do before the Oly, I'd go ahead and do it, just to remind the body what a race feels like. But I don't think it's out of the question to go straight to the OLY.

I, personally, like to do a sprint or two first, just to get the bugs worked out and remember the feel of it.
