Hey everyone, quick (and probably dumb) question.

After coming in from a really cold run, and your skin is icy to the touch, would there be any benefit to taking a hot shower to warm the body back up before stretching, or would that not really make a difference and stretching should just be done right away. On that note, I've also heard the figure that you should eat within 30 minutes of finishing exercise, but is there a similar figure for stretching too?

Your skin may be icy, but your muscles surely aren't. Do a test next time. Take your temp, under the tongue, before and after your warm up shower.

Agree.  Only thing I'd add would be if you stretch for a long time.  If you're soaking wet and it's cold and windy and you're outside, etc., you could cool down quite a bit and quickly (going inside would obviously help here, but I rarely will until I'm done).

But other than that likely infrequent situation, I agree with the stretch before showering approach (even if only cuz it'll feel that much better to hop in the shower being DONE!).
