I have a few races this year where I will need to use a wetsuit! I have never used one and I have a fear I won't be able to find one in my size without spending an arm and leg. I am about 5-11, 350 lbs.

Any tips?

I used an XTERRA at my biggest and loved it. If you can manage it I would go sleeveless. Us bigger fellas need the arm movement. They also usually have a discount code out there.

Same thing as above. I called everyone and Xterra was the only one who even thought it was a shot. I still use mine after 2 years but I went sleeveless as well. Good luck.

I would call Xterra, they are from what I hear excellent about sizing advice, and they will know whether they can make it work.

Search for a discount code, one I just used got me the Full Sleeve Vector Pro ( listed for $600 ) shipped for $179

I purchased a wetsuit on craigslist from a guy who constantly outgrew his wetsuits due to adipose accumulation through the years. The wetsuit was already stretched out for me and had no problem accomodating my voluptuous proportions. See if there are any fat guys who are trying to get rid of their old wetsuits.

The last wetsuit I bought was a fit2race suit. I actually bought 2. A full sleeve and a sleeveless. I was 5' 10" @ 320 pounds.
They worked great.
I may be selling them soon. I had bariatric surgery 11 weeks ago and I am now 244. Shooting to be under 200 by the time the lakes here are open again. No way they will fit me then.

Congrats on the weight loss. It's always fun when clothing is too big and you gotta go smaller

I'm doing my first tri Saturday. It starts at 7 AM and the forecast is calling for a high of 82 (air temp). Do I need to rush out and get a wetsuit?

This is a 'first impressions' review of the Fit2Race Sockeye Fullsuit. From a first wetsuit point-of-view, I was able to dramatically improve my pace over non-wetsuit swims.
