Good morning BT!

6:00am:  1:15 on the KK, endurance Z2

Breakfast and then heading to 10 year old daughter's bball game and then out to Blue Lake to swim.  It's 35 degrees air temp, but my lake in the middle of the desert will be 68ish degrees!  Getting in and out sucks though! Brrrr!

Have a great day!

Good morning.

Enjoy that 68 degree water! There is no outside water around me that I would want to get in to except for maybe a polar plunge type deal.

0700 Pedaled 25 miles on the computrainer.

Now to go stuff myself with breakfast for my son's 23rd birthday breakfast (I take all 3 of my son's on their birthday or closest weekend day to it every year)

Later, I will swim 2000m

Have a great day

Hey Smithe--I'm doing IM CDA too!!! Just noticed that.  Oh, BTW, the water was divine!  :-)  It's such a cool place to swim.

I've been struggling with "long" runs too, lately. Fine with normal runs and brick runs, but for some reason I've been feeling hideous on anything over about 65 minutes ever since I got back from winter break (and taking two weeks off running). It's like my body keeps saying, "WTF?" Either it totally lost the memory that I run over an hour (one would think it wouldn't, having done it regularly since maybe age 12 or 13?), it's somehow related to what I do on Friday---lately threshold intervals on my new Cervelo on the trainer--or it's all in my head!

90 minute run in absolutely glorious weather this AM--breezy, sunny, and cool. Honestly, it was the best running weather I remember in almost seven years of living here. Too bad I felt like sh.... for 90% of it. Lower back, glutes, hamstrings tight and sore. Felt like what I imagine running the marathon in an IM would feel like--just waddling along. No idea why-I hadn't biked in over 24 hours! Tempted to blame the tri bike but it actually started when I first got back and hadn't ridden it in two weeks.....

Dragged myself to the pool in the afternoon and finally felt better after 3000m of swimming including a bunch of medley--it always seems to get the kinks out.

Feeling confident and cocky, after finally losing some weight, I got off my back side and into triathlon.
