Subject: Mjolnir Cycles -- custom fillet-brazed steel bike frames

My journey in the world of cycling has taken on many roles -- triathlon racing, bike racing, mechanic, "fitter"... And now it's taken on what I consider my pinnacle of bicycle participation -- frame building. Yes, I'm basically starting just starting out, but I have several frames already made and in varying states of use. I'm on the cusp of hanging out my shingle, not as a full-time frame builder, but part-timing it and building my brand.

In light of that, I submitted my Smoked Out bio to Velocipede Salon today: http://www.velocipedesalon.com/forum/f22/mjolnir-cycles-39927.html

My site, for those who are interested, is listed in my signature, and I'm on Facebook.

Comments, questions, critiques, inquiries all welcome.

Thanks!

Looks like nice work. Steel makes for a nice riding road bike, but I can't imagine there's any market at all for a steel tri-bike.

Good thing that's only a subset of what I provide.

Does a degree or two difference between two frames(head and/or seat tube) really make that much of a difference when it comes to fit?

We are often asked the question, "What size frame should I buy" and the answer is “it depends”. I know that’s not the answer you want to hear, but hopefully the following will shed some more light.

I am in the process of buying my first tri bike. Because of my size my fitter suggested buying a custom frame but then I have an infinite number of choices for components, wheels, aerobars, etc.

“Less is more,” is a common buzz phrase in endurance sports today. It refers to the trend of training less but focusing on intensity and quality rather than on quantity.

You ride hard enough that you are working but not so hard that you can’t do the same thing the next day. 700 km or 400 miles a week.
