Subject: forward sitting while in aero position
I am wondering if anyone of you has had this issue, and if i am ok doing this.

Since last year i have been struggling with IT Band issues on the bike. I have done everything that needs to be done, stretch, bike fit, ART name it. It's going much better, i have found that if i sit forward on the saddle ( i mean forward ) while in aero position i am stronger and almost pain free. The question i have is could i injure myself somewhere else doing this, is it OK, i realy feel good besides a little bit of pain related to sitting forward on the saddle.

Thanks for your input.

Bet your IT band issue is caused by tight hamstrings. Sitting further forward allows you to generate the power without engaging the hamstrings to the same degree. This is commonly combined with weak hip flexors, where sitting further forward will open you up. It's actually not a bad thing at all!
