Happy, almost, Spring everyone! Don't forget to get your bikes tuned up before the rush, it's forecast to hit 60 this coming week.
So just because it's still to cold to swim outside, doesn't mean we can't race. The Life Time - Ironman Indoor Triathlon returns to Dublin, Oh on Sunday, April the 26th. If you're new to the sport of triathlon, this is a great way to
(literally
) get your feet wet. Anxious about open water swimming? Our lap pool is less than 4 feet deep so you can cast your water worries aside. Wondering if your training's working, this is a great way to test your fitness, in a competitive environment to see just how fit you are.
Unlike outdoor events, the Indoor Triathlon is time based. We record how far you can go in a set period of time and rank you based on the distance you cover. Our 1 hour event includes a 10 minute swim, 30 minute bike and 20 minute run. Up for more, you can opt for our double, 2 hour wave with a 20 minute swim, hour bike and 40 minute run.
As I mentioned, the swim is in our indoor lap pool. We have 2 swimmers per lane so you don't have to worry about a crowded swim. The bike is on our new Free Motion stationary bicycles which have build in power meters so you actually get credit for using resistance. No more, rip your legs off, spin fests on the bike. We also have new Life Fitness treadmills, so your run is on the latest equipment.
Best of all, it's just $25 for the hour and $40 for the 2 hour for everyone. That includes a cool race shirt and swim cap, as well as some discounts from Life Time and Ironman. For more info, and to register, go to IndoorTri.com.
Hope to see you in April!
