Subject: 2014 P2 food/tubes/etc suggestions
Just got a 2014 Cervelo P2 and am looking for recommendations for storage for fuel and spare tubes, CO2, etc. I already have a profile design bottle for between the aerobars but that's it. I'll be doing Ironman and I'm not overly concerned about speed. Don't know if it matters but it's a pretty small bike, 48 cm. Pictures would be an added bonus!
Thanks!

Not sure if it would be useful but I have a fairly small P2 as well (51, earlier model) and I posted a question about putting on a second water bottle cage on the SBR-U thread of the mentorship forums. Lots of people sent me pics of their setups. My big issue is the water bottles. I train and race most of the year in really extreme heat and humidity (we joke that it's like doing Kona every single week) and need to be self-sufficient with fluids. But there's no room (and no holes) to mount a bottle cage on the seat tube. Also not sure how to get it on the seat post with the stuff available locally. I do have a big aerobottle but that plus one more bottle is not enough for rides over two hours. And alas, I'm not a very fast cyclist; the HIM ride I'm training for is going to take over three hours.

As for food, I use a "bento box" There are different brands; mine is an Axiom. You can also get more "aero" hard shelled boxes They attach to the top tube and stem and you can store food, CO2 cartridges, etc. Mine has a separate section for small tools or cartridges. I've found it to be the easiest way to access my munchies. I always see people tape gu to the tubes in races, but the one time I tried this, they both fell off. Maybe it's our tropical humidity, or poor quality duct tape. After a "starvation" Oly (had to cadge a fruit leather off my friend's husband in T2!), got the bento box and never went the duct tape route again. In a full IM, I think you also have a special needs stop where you can pick up additional food, pus more stuff is offered on the course, so you don't necessarily need to carry 100% of your nutrition for the whole race.

I got a bento from dark speed works.   I think he posts here but you can google it.

Most likely I am putting tubes and co2 under seat.  If not I'd be adding single bottle holder behind the seat for tools.   Im only doing HIM so your set up may be different.

You know what you should eat. Yet you just don’t want to. Yuck—whole wheat bread, bran cereal, oatmeal, skim milk, spinach, fish, fruit for snacks and desserts.
