Quick question.

Does anyone know if this race typically sells out if so do you know around when.

Thanks

It does not sell out.  You could register race week if you wanted.

I won't go on my typical Austin 70.3 rant right now but there are better alternatives out there.  I'll just put it this way... I have done 15 or so Ironman/WTC IM or 70.3's.  Austin is by far my least favorite race, and arguably my least favorite race I have ever done.

Not sure where you live in Texas or if your heart is totally set on doing an IM-branded race but the Oilman HIM located in the Montgomery/Lake Conroe area about 40 miles north of Houston is a very well regarded race and is the week before Austin this year.  It shares some of the Ironman Texas bike course.

x2.  I forgot why I didn't like Austin 70.3 so I did it again this past year.  I'm good for another 3-5 years when I'll forget again and do it.

Some mistakes I made during the Hawaii Ironman 70.3. Don't be caught out on the course not knowing how or not having the equipment to change a flat tire.

It was the morning of Ironman Newfoundland 70.3, I felt queasy. I didn't want to eat or drink anything. I had a full blown case of the pre-race HEEBEE GEEBEES.
