Anyone using this style of Garmin speed and cadence sensor and have negative or positive feedback on them?  I would be pairing these up with a Garmin 500.  They seem a lot easy to deal with than the GSC-10.  I am changing over from a Cat-eye setup.

The only issue I have heard (I still run the GSC-10) echoes a complaint in DCR's article: speed dropouts on the trainer.
If you are on the road, put the speed sensor on the front axle and you'll be fine.

Then again, speed is absolutely dependent on your trainer's set up. So if you don't bother keeping that consistent, speed is entirely irrelevant there anyway.

Thanks.  I should have thought of that.  Here is the link if anyone else is interested.

I got them and love them. I was constantly having issues with the older style.

I have both setup. I have the new speed sensor on my Tri bike with the 500 and have had a few dropouts. Nothing major but I have happened to see like 1-2 second drops....but they don't really show up in training peaks so wasn't too concerned. I have the GSC10 on my road bike and haven't had any issues. My Tri bike has cadence from PM so I went with just the speed sensor.

I have the speed sensor on mine and it seems to work great.  It's certainly a heck of a lot easier to switch from bike to bike than the GSC-10!!

I have both sensors on both my Tri bike and my road bike paired with an 810.  Never had any problems on either the road or the trainer.

I have them and used them with a 500 on my track bike. No problems
