So im positive my legs are dropping when i go for my breath on the left side lately. I think it's probably from engaging my pull to early. When do you begin your pull? I feel i rotate my shoulder to get over the imaginary barrel i try to get over to start my pull but think it's too early and causing me to push down on the water thus making my legs drop. Any advice?

I've have the same problem on my off side when I do bilateral swimming. Here are the things that I've been told could be the problem:
You could be lifting your head up instead of to the side. Try to look slightly backward when you breath, tucking your head into your shoulder.
Make sure your arm is outstretched directly in front of your shoulder.
Make sure you start your pull as soon as your hand is stretched out in front.
Make sure you are continuing to kick rhythmically as you turn to breath.

Stop pulling and extend the length of your body to get your breath.

Yup and yup. I do the same and from what I've jearned the fix is what is said above head down and reach. But I find it is easier said than done.

It sounds as though you may be overthinking your stroke? Your arms should not stop, if you are breathing or not breathing your arms should be the same. You arms should be moving in a steady constant rotation, when you need to breath you head should be turning and finding a spot within your stroke to breath.

When someone's feet drop during a breath it's most likely 1 of 2 things.

You lift your head too much, instead of rotating.

You are interrupting your stroke to get a breath.
