I rode 35 miles today tracking the distance on my Garmin 910 and on Map My Ride. Garmin said I biked for 34 miles while MMR had the distance at 35. Which do you think is the more accurate GPS?

Thanks!

I think MMR is very generous. My 910XT Garmin and Bike Computer differ by only about .02-.04 at 30+ miles while the MMR will be 1/2 - 3/4 mile on the high side, off. When I run a known distance MMR is always more. Probably due to the phones GPS, not MMR.

i could be a MMR problem. We have a certified 5-k that my work puts on each year. the distance is 3.1. garmin has it at 3.1. MMRs maps feature (not evenu sing gps) has it at 3.2

Depends more on your phone than anything else as some have much better GPS than others. Some will handle urban and/or forest canopy better than others. FWIW, Map My Run/Ride on my iPhone 5s has been very accurate and generally matches my bike computer almost exactly.

I've run with 'both'......a 310XT and an S5 running MMR and the native step counter. I had grand plans to come up with percentage differences on steps and total mileage. I like numbers.

In the end, I never checked steps and I'm not sure I even checked total mileage, as they both kept beeping at me within nanoseconds of each other at each mile. I suppose I figure if they were that close, the net probably wouldn't have been too far off. I should try it again.
