Good morning BT from a wet and soggy desert!  This rain just keeps coming!

4:15am:  1:20 on the KK. threw in some good intervals

5:45am:  :30 minutes strength stuff

Long day today...parent open house at the school (why we're doing it now I have no idea) followed by the All Sports Banquet.

Yesterday I had a mandatory cross country meeting for the fall season--18 boys and 0 girls.  This is incredible--to put it in perspective, we have about 320 kids 9th-12th grade.  I compete for numbers with football and soccer--to get 18 boys to run, holy cow.  I am going to have my hands full!!!

Have a great day!

Half hour on the trainer this morning, then triceps and a long slow stretching session. GF and I have been hitting it hard this week! Legs still recovering from Monday beating. OWS this evening after GF gets home from work. Debating about a long slow run over lunch. Have a great day!

Tried out my HRM for the 1st time today... Easy 3.25 mile run just to try and get an idea of my different zones and perceived effort. Then 2 hours of reading and I think I'm understanding the whole zone thing with PE and HRM. Took some finagling to get my zones aligned. The whole MHR thing is bunk as I was in zone 4 at 190 by PE and have done some maximal effort training as well. where my HR was at 210 and couldn't creep it higher. Used 210 as my MHR and the zones started to align much better. I'm 45 and a MHR of 175 just doesn't work for me, I like to train at about 160-180 where I feel best...
