The 310xt is very good.
The 910xt is a bit more expensive and has a few more features, like pool swimming metrics
The 920xt is again a bit more expensive and has even more features, like wireless connectivity to phones and others
The fenix 3 is again a bit more expensive, similar to the 920 but nicer looking, more of a watch you can wear every day

For the basic stuff, all 4 are equally good. It's just the additional features that justify the more expensive prices.

I have had a 310 for the past 2 years and am too cheap to upgrade. It has all the basic functionality you would want. If you are into a lot of analysis, the 910 and 920 are better fits. Also, the 310 doesn't actually tell time, so it is not useful for anything other then training/racing. The 310 is bigger than the 910 & 920, but you can pick up a 310 for $75 on here or Slowtwitch and spenD another $100 for an aero helmet...if you don't already have one.

It does, just hit the "mode" button and it will show the time. However, I do agree that it's too big for anything but training/racing.

The 910 is a great watch and I really like all the data it gathers. I got one a few weeks ago that looks like new with HR, foot pod, and bike cadence/speed modules for just over $200. I'm sure if you watch ebay and classifieds for a while you can pick the basic watch and HR up for $170 or less.

The 310 should be easy to find within your budget.

Or just have one of your pages show only "Time Of Day" and leave it on that page.
