You can get De Soto cooling gear, works OK in humid weather but not great. I wore arm coolers, seemed to help. recently got a cooling shirt from them, has pockets on the spine to put ice in. Worked great at Silverman Carry a bottle and fill it with the ice they have at every station, you'll always have cold water. Put iit down your shirts and under your cap as well. It's mostly exposed, but there is a tiny bit of shade after you turn off the bridge for the out and back (assuming they didn't change the course) Of course, drink enough on the bike so you don't get dehydrated. |
