Subject: RE: racing with a cold... No specific recommendations. However a couple of things to consider.
1 ) If you have a fever, racing is a terrible idea. However if it's just a "common cold" that has you stuffed up and congested with no fever, I see no reason to hold back.
2 ) Pseudoephedrine is a prohibited substance when used in-competition. Don't take any in the day or two ahead of the race and certainly not on race morning. Regardless I personally don't think I *could* race if I had taken any as it makes me incredibly wired and jacks my heart rate. |
