My 1st triathlon event. 4 months of preparation. Lot of swim training (to prepare for rought sea conditions), running (up to 10 km).

I was passing others who were saying, "Good job, 587" (that was my race number). People were cheering me on. These were the nicest people I have ever been around!

Knowing where the fluids are, how they will fit on your bike, how much to reach for, and when to reach for it should be understood prior to ever setting foot on the course.
