Free your mind, and your stroke will follow.

We have digital pace clocks, one on the end and one on the side.  The coaches try to make sure they're synchronized so you can use either one on your send offs.

We have an old fashioned pace clock as well as a large digital one with the time of day up high on the wall.  I use the digital one.

I can even begin to explain how frustrating it is to have two pace clocks, but not in sync. I swear my pool does it just to get my BP up.

The only thing worse was the old YMCA I used to swim at by my work - they have a 33 1/3 yard pool. Seriously.

Just one, old school. We wheel it outside when we can swim out there. Those days are coming to an end, back to the chlorine infested poorly ventilated indoor pool.

Two old school ones for us, one at each end of the pool.

I'm betting you didn't do a lot of 50s there .

This is a 'first impressions' review of the Fit2Race Sockeye Fullsuit. From a first wetsuit point-of-view, I was able to dramatically improve my pace over non-wetsuit swims.

It seems that if I swim that slow I begin to sink and I have to either kick or pull harder to compensate while my heart-rate starts going up. I find myself kicking too hard trying to keep afloat.

I went into the pool area (as this was a pool swim) and got body marked. That's when it hit me that I was there to race - this was not a clinic.

Stroke after stroke, my pace was pulling me out into the middle of the lake quickly. The cover seemed to be getting thicker. But still in the distance, the little boathouse was my lighthouse.

Now is your chance! If you want to prove that you should be training at a faster pace you can prove it by racing faster.

Good swimming is relaxed swimming. Relaxed swimming depends on practicing the best techniques and the best body position.
