Finally got out for my trail run around 2:00pm.  Hubby neglected to mention we were meeting friends for breakfast early this am, too dark to trail run before meeting up, so I ate and then napped for a few hours!  I can't run on a full stomach.  So...got in a nice nap, and then got in a nice 7 mile trail run.

Gearing up for another busy week!

I decided to take the weekend off to recover, and I'm glad I did. I'm feeling almost perfectly healthy. The only thing bothering me now is a little bit of coughing, which I can ignore if necessary.

Stop ignoring---rest up and get well. I know, I'm probably sounding like your mom here, but I've had these wretched viruses for 4-6 weeks before. They won't let go until you give them the respect they deserve!

Not lazy with workouts here but it took me forever to get going on them.

AM 38 minute run, 2 hour trainer ride
PM 40 minutes of strength stuff

No time for nap due to schoolwork, but it was hard to stay awake with the hours and hours of drizzle yesterday.

weak, wobbly 10.5mi run today to back up a 21 miler yesterday.  that puts me at 73mi of running for the week, which for me is substantial.  Averaging 70mpw for the past 3 weeks and I've dug myself into a deep fatigue hole... just as planned.  4 weeks out from NYCM.  Can't wait.

Spent my weekend away with Mrs Bear (no kids) at a rather nice spa hotel. Banking credits, which is sometimes more important than banking miles!

One mile run in the AM, alongside my 8 y/o at the local kids race series.

5K in the afternoon solo.

I had been very fit until I turned the legal age for the two demons: drinking and smoking. Unfortunately, from my 18th birthday, my once fit swimmer's body went downhill and wide very fast.
