Subject: Local to Denver Bike Fitter?
Hello!

I am toying with the idea of building up a tri bike. Everything I read on here says start with the fit.

I agree with that, but most fitters I'm aware of work at shops so I have to assume they are going to recommend buying a bike they sell.

Does anyone know of a good fitter who is not affiliated with a specific shop/brand?

Mountain biking is my main sport and those bikes are costly. I dabble in triathlon so I want a "pretty good" bike that won't cost an arm and a leg. That's why I'm toying with either a used bike or a new build with a (gasp!) Chinese carbon frame.

Thanks in advance!
Ted

Scott does his fittings out of Kompetitive Edge and you can certainly get a great bike there but I think he'll give you some recommendations otherwise.
