Cracked 100 today and ended up at 112. Run strong everyone!

Great job on getting to 100 so quickly.  What does your weekly run schedule look like?  I'm curious how many days per week you run and what distances.

Great job on getting to 100 so quickly.  What does your weekly run schedule look like?  I'm curious how many days per week you run and what distances.

Here was this past week:

Monday: Off

Tuesday: 7

Wednesday: 5

Thursday: 7 with tempo mixed in

Friday: Off (mixed with as many cannonballs off the diving board as I had time for)

Saturday: 18

Sunday: 5

42 total for the week.

I'll be between 40 and 50 miles/week for the rest of my ultra training, with 35-40 in recovery weeks.

Jamie, doing well for the 50 miler.

I'm really behind and don't think I'll make 100 miles this month. 56.3 miles so far. Mini vacation this weekend and didn't work out. Was going to make up for it and wake early this morn but it's too cold. Will try to go this evening.

I'm at 45 plus my run tonight. I think my new goal is to hit 60.

I thought I'd hit 100 yesterday but have had a chest cold and need to take care of it.  Might get a few miles in this evening.  The extra rest has been good for healing up my aches and pains though.

Today's run. Maybe some 1/4's on Wed as my daughter wants to go to the track for a workout. She would much rather do 400's than an AE run.

I'm still hibernating. Though I might do a super easy jog the day after Thanksgiving dinner.

After 6 miles yesterday and another 6 today I'm at 103.  The weather has been nasty.  Rainy and cold last night.  This evening very cold and strong winds.

Tonight's run brought me up to 96 miles. Tomorrow should put me over, with 4 days to spare. My stretch goal is to get to 200km (125 miles), so we'll see how that goes. I want to finish up the month with a couple longer runs, and it's supposed to warm up this week, so I should make it.

Stubbed my pinky toe last night on a piece of furniture (that's one of the lingering issues I still have after my sickness) and looks like I have at least a hair line fracture. Good thing is that it was at the end of the toe, so no major concerns from the Doctor. I won't be running for at least a few days. On that note:

During creation of Man

Assistant: "Do you think he turned out ok?"

God: "I'd like you to add a pinky toe"

Assistant: "For what?"

God: "For the furniture"

Assistant: "Furniture?"

God: "Trust me. It'll be funny"

We're here! Another month down. How did everyone do? I topped out at 145 for the month. Hope you are all happy with your results

Great month Jamie.

I ended up with 138 miles.  I had hoped for more but taper and recovery from the marathon put me behind as well as having to nurse a chest cold.  Looking for a bigger December.

Wow! Great month guys! I haven't run since IMAZ. I think I have one more week of non running for me before I start running again since Oceanside is on my racing calendar.

Was able to squeeze in another 15 miles after resting the toe for a couple of days. Holding up better than I thought. This gets me to 93.

I made it! Finished up with 18km today to get to 200km, or 125 miles. I'm going to focus more on strength in December, so the milage won't be nearly as high, but this was a personal best month for me.

Great job Everyone!! I missed the 100 miles this month. 85.3 miles. But I see we have a challenge for December. I'm going off to join it so it will get me off my lazy azz and back to running.

I think quite truly for the first time I 'get it'. It's not just about the fitness. It's not just about the great little endorphin rush as you hit 5, 10, 15 miles...its not just the medal at the end.
