Subject: Articles: Call for writers
As you know, articles are helpful for all of us to increase our knowledge about the sport. They are also provide great links to point to when someone new has a question about a common topic.

Here at BT, we make a point of forming relationships with experts so we can bring you articles on sports injuries and nutrition that you can trust.

We also want to build community by putting out the request for new writers to submit articles.

Types of Articles We are Looking For:

We are open to the following types of articles:

  • Race reports, translated to article format (for those really special race reports that receive a lot of views and are meaningful)

  • Tips for training from athletes. Share something that has helped you in training; Share an experience using a BT training plan; Share training "hacks" that help you work training into your schedule; etc.

  • Training articles from coaches. As a community, we have the privilege of getting participation and support from tri coaches who frequent the forums. Here is your chance as a coach to document your advice in an article, and receive a link back to your coaching website.

Guidelines:

  • Original content only (we can't accept articles that have been published elsewhere online - it hurts our search ranking over time)

  • Please upload photos with your article. If you can't figure out how to format them correctly into the text, that's OK. Just upload them when you finish writing with the Upload Photos button, and we'll take it from there.

  • If you have some specific educational or professional credentials, please note this at the end of the article.

  • Use your best correct punctuation and capitalization and grammar. Write for a magazine, not a text message. :-)

  • It's helpful if you include your name and where you live, if that isn't already part of your signature. Forums are and should provide a degree of anonymity, but published articles require a different level of attribution.

Next Steps

In the dark blue footer at the bottom of the website under Tools, click "Submit an article" and click on "Edit" once you get to that page. Then begin!

Or, read this page if you are interested in:

  • Ideas to inspire your writing

  • Becoming a regular contributor

  • Submitting a video

  • Submitting a podcast

I had read the articles on BT, I'd trained, and I thought I had prepared. There were, however, a few things that I didn't internalize despite what I'd been told.
