Pre-race routine:

Walked around with Mary and Conor and looked at all of the farm stuff. Lots of cool stuff for kids.

Ran about 100 yards with my pumpkin.

First time running with a pumpkin. I should have just run normal, because just getting a extra medal was not worth the trouble. It was fun and goofy though, so whatever. Everyone had fun.

Not run with a pumpkin.

Event comments:

This was put on very well for what it was. Certainly not meant for people to actually RACE, but I wanted to see what I had in me, and this was a nice first try. I think I used the pumpkin to take the pressure of my first 5K. It worked.
