If you like watching animal cams, think bald eagles are cool, or don't feel like being productive today, please enjoy the DC Eagle Cam:

Yesterday egg #1 hatched so you can see the little fuzzy one now. Egg 2 should be hatching any day now!

Eagle cams are a lot of fun, especially when the parents bring back a meal for the young-uns.  It's fascinating to me to watch them feed the eaglets.

Thanks for posting the info about the eagle cam. I have enjoyed watching the eagle and have shared the link with my adult kids who have also enjoyed it very much.

I've retired from Tri's due to hip and back issues, but something brought me back here for the first time in months, and this was the reason!

LOF THIS POST!  I could watch this all day!

I particularly like this bit from underneath the feed: "This is a wild eagle nest and anything can happen. While we hope that two healthy juvenile eagles will end up fledging from the nest this summer, things like sibling rivalry, predators, and natural disaster can affect this eagle family and may be difficult to watch."

Code for "do not let your kindergarten class watch this unless you're ready to handle the upheaval when the birdies tragically die."

Awww, looks like its naptime! I kind of feel like I'm cheating on my hometown Eagle cam though.

There are some local ones to me, too.  Sadly, word just went out that one of the eaglets died in one of the locations (Hanover, PA).

Anyone know if those raptors would eat the neighbor's incessantly barking little dog?  Asking for a friend.

Just seeing this for the first time. Really cool that you can watch them sleep too.

I was out walking earlier today and there were three or four redtail hawks tearing up the sky above us. I was wondering if they were scoping out the neighborhood pets for meal options!

I used to work QA for a dog daycare franchise. I went to visit the location near Denver and when viewing their outdoor area noticed they had netting across the top. I innocently asked what it was for, and was told it was to keep the little dogs safe from birds of prey. Learned a little something new that day!

After three triathlon seasons, I finally decided that I wanted to actually see well during the swim portion. My vision is not so great. I had to find better goggles.
