Good afternoon BT!  I was up and at 'em early today but finally getting around to starting the thread!

5:00am:  2:00 on the KK

7:00am:  :35 minute run

Felt like that was a solid brick workout--haven't done one that long in a while!

The puppy is adorable--and yes, wants to chew everything in sight!  Let the training begin!

Have a great day all...good luck to any racers!

Everyone is busy seems like!

Wasn't feeling that great so slept in this morning. Finally got on the trainer this afternoon.

3pm - 1 hour on the trainer. Bike seat was bugging me. Just can't ever get comfortable - boo!

Anyway, I think we got some of your rain down here Kim, but it's kinda nice :-)!

I "feel your pain" on the bike seat. Have been having some issues with mine too since my new coach has had me doing a lot more time in the saddle, but my options for dealing with it here are pretty limited. Probably will be in the market for a new saddle (for maybe new bike fit) when in the US. Not a chafing issue; the saddle seems to be hitting a nerve under my sit bones in the wrong place and triggering piriformis-like discomfort. Maybe I need something more padded, or one that distributes the pressure better. Fortunately it's better when I'm riding on the road, so hoping it will be okay for the race--I think I shift around more then than when on the trainer. The problem is that almost all my riding here is on the trainer. I only ride the tri bike outside 2-3 times a month, if that. Some of those 3-4 hour trainer rides this spring really left me with a sore butt!

Anyway, 1:20 on the trainer, with some HIM effort intervals.

10 am. Went out and rode 62 miles, longest ride since last August. Legs hurt so good!

Do we really need chia, spelt, and quinoa? Is anything wrong with old-fashioned peanut butter, broccoli and brown rice?

We have new 10 and 20 week training plans for the New Year! These mini sprint plans are very conservative and will get any person thinking of training for a triathlon ready to cross the finish-line.

Cotswold super sprint - UK. Lots of bodies colliding, I swam half over someone, got kicked by some bloody breaststroker, and as a mob we poured towards the first buoy.

Already a cyclist and not a bad swimmer, I figured all I had to do was build up to running a few miles and I’d be ready to go. The challenge invigorated me, and I ran out to buy new running shoes.

Since I didn't have much time and since it's a super sprint, am I OK just go to at the training relatively hard through Thursday or even Friday?
