So exciting! It will be my first time doing Tower Tri (my kids have classes and summer camp at that Y and I love it so much.)
Any tips you can share regarding this particular race? Especially in regards to transitions?
I am super confused about their bike course. The description states it's 18k and 6 laps. The map shows 3 laps, and the legend of the map states 20k and 5 laps. Ugh.. so confusing...
Also, it will be my first experience with swimming back and forth (which is fine, because swimming one after another was very stressful for me haha). How did you like that? How does it look like? They say you'll have to count your own laps and I hope I don't mess that up...
Thanks for any feedback and see you Sunday

Last year it was 6 laps and and the bike course was about 10-11 miles but that could change this year so pay attention when you check in.

It is a super laid back race and the perfect first time race. It gets a little lonely on the run as there are never more than 75 people running at any given time.

There are a few super fast guys there but ussally not to many and ussally they go early.

There has always been someone there to count laps for us in the past so we will see what happens this year.

They are not really great with giving out information before the race but it will be very clear on race day.

It's a great race for your family to come see you race because if they walk down to bike course starts the looping section they can see you 6 times on the bike and twice on the run. My kids love it when I am biking I ride by every 5 minutes.

I am in the over 50 wave. My race kit has sharks and fish on it yell if you see me or stop and say hi before or after the race.

Thanks for all the info, that's very helpful.
I hope I can find you. I will be in 30-34 age group, I have a tattoo on my back (and you can see the pics in my profile). Definitely say hi if you see me, and I will yell if I see sharks and fish kit
Good luck and have fun!

Well, at least swimming is indoor. I bet we will be warmed-up enough during bike and run.
